Veeam Software enhances virtualization backup tool

Veeam Software this week announced an enhanced version of its backup software for VMware environments. Veeam Backup & Replication now supports VMware vSphere 4 vStorage technology. Supporting the vStorage API, allows for thin-provisioned disks and the ability to use ESX4 changed block tracking to speed incremental backups. It also supports virtual applications. The new version of the software also includes a new Enterprise Management Server that lets customers manage multiple copies of Veeam Backup & Replication from a single console. The software starts at $599 per socket.
