Indra Networks on Wednesday rolled out two accelerator card that speed up data compression and encryption. The SC 500 and SS 500 work with EMC Retrospect and Amanda backup software and with the ZFS file system used in OpenSolaris and NexentaStor. The cards use a deflate algorithm for compression; the SS 500 uses the AES encryption algorithm.
