EMC taps Intel’s Gelsinger to head storage hardware and software

According to a Wall Street Journal report, EMC has hired Patrick Gelsinger, head of Intel’s chip business, to run EMC’s hardware and software operations. Gelsinger will join Howard Elias who heads EMC’s services business and CFO David Goulden as part of the trio that is expected to succeed CEO Joe Tucci when he retires.
