NEC upgrades HYDRAstor

NEC on Tuesday enhanced its grid storage system with performance increases of 67%, new WORM capability, increased file system granularity, in-flight encryption and quota management. The HYDRAlock WORK capability prevents erasure of alteration of documents and e-mails and ensures the authenticity of data. The HYDRAstor now offers a series of resiliency classes for protection and capacity across different applications. In-flight encryption protects data during replication with NEC’s RepliGrid asynchronous-based product. Finally, IT can allocate capacity for each file system and application to different groups of users.
