Virtual Computer announced on Tuesday an update to its NxTop desktop virtualization software. NxTop Release 1.2 includes performance improvements that exceed 90% percent of native throughput and 98% of native performance on networking, full multi-core processor support, three-second suspend/resume and improved battery life for laptops. The release improves client-side installation options including a dual-boot feature allowing the system to retain a native windows boot option as well as virtualized operation. The NxTop 1.2 update pack will be released to customers this week via the NxTop customer portal.
