HP on Wednesday announced three new offerings to help businesses and telecommunication service providers realize the benefits of cloud computing while optimizing costs and mitigating the risk of adoption. Two new offerings, HP Operations Orchestration and HP Cloud Assure for cost control, allow businesses to manage and govern cloud services. Both packages operate on Amazon’s EC2 cloud service, allowing companies to scale up and down without associated capital investment. A third package enables telecom providers to deliver cloud services with HP Communications as a Service (CaaS). CaaS allows providers to offer communications services delivered on an outsourced basis and priced like utilities.
