“The FCC said the popular police drama caused interference on the city’s public-safety radio pool, the vital communications network used by New York City’s police, fire and other emergency departments,” writes The New York Post.
Apparently L&O production crews were using walkie-talkies to communicate during filming. NBC says it’s taking the matter seriously but “disagrees with the current outcome.” Sounds like someone wants a lesser charge. The FCC better hope NBC doesn’t send Det. Stabler over to “negotiate.”
