EchoStar wants to give you 10 free years of satellite television service. What’s the catch? Why does there always have to be a catch?

Okay, so there is a catch, but a small one. Borrowing from an early 2000s promotion scheme, EchoStar wants your town to change its name to DISH in exchange for the free service. Hey, going from the 12 letters in Southborough to just four in DISH would sure save a lot of ink. But if you’re like us and live in a condo complex, make sure you can use the free dish. Our association essentially limits us to putting one in the basement where reception is oh so great.
