Just in time for the holidays

Got a gadget freak on that holiday shopping list? Forget the video iPod, that’s so yesterday (literally). Get them a PEZ MP3 player instead! The $99 First Edition PEZ Pal Boy unit comes with 512 M/bytes of memory and plays MP3 and Windows Media (including DRMed content) files. It comes with a USB 2.0 connection and can double as a USB drive as well. Alas, it no longer dishes up tasty PEZ candy.

Inventor Pat Misterovich is a stay-at-home dad that, according to his bio, had the thought “Wouldn’t it be cool if there was an MP3 player that looked like a PEZ dispenser?” last summer. It’s ideas like Pat’s that make America great. Of course, Pat was smart enough to license the PEZ name, because America’s not-so-greatness (lawyers) would be all over him otherwise.
