Sony is now trying to backpedal since it’s been found out and has issued a patch to reveal the hidden anti-piracy software.
You can download a program to “safely uninstall all the software by visiting the Sony BMG Web site,” writes USA Today. However, The Register reports the patch won’t remove the rootkit DRM, but rather makes the previous hidden files visible.
