So yesterday left-leaning cable news network CNN flashed a giant black X over the face of Vice President Dick Cheney during a press conference.

While Cheney was X’d out for about one-seventh of a second, it was enough for the right to start claiming editorial bias by CNN and for the network to blame – all together now – technology.

“So, for all the conspiracy theories out there,” anchor Daryn Kagan said later, ” … that’s not what this is about. It’s a computer bug that people deal with everyday. It’s just that ours was in front of millions of people.”

Yeah, um, we can’t remember the last time we launched a giant X over the NetworkWorld.com home page, but maybe we’re just perfect. More explanation from CNN here.
