Mindzap: extrasensory perception lab at Princeton University closing

After 28 years of edgy research and hullabaloo the Princeton Engineering Anomalies Research laboratory will close at the end of this month. PEAR’s founder, Robert G. Jahn, said the lab has basically run out of funding (Jahn claims the lab raised over $10 million over the years). One of PEAR’s main thrusts was that human minds can affect random physical processes. Jahn also said these processes of the mind might be able to be used in other areas of human life, such as healing disease. “If people don’t believe us after all the results we’ve produced, then they never will,” Jahn, 76, former dean of Princeton’s engineering school and an emeritus professor, told The New York Times over the weekend.
