For the first time, the number of laptops sold has outpaced the number of desktops sold in the U.S.

According to The Washington Post, research firm “Current Analysis says notebook sales accounted for 53% of the total personal computer market last month, up from 46% during the same period last year.”

Aiding the sales jump is the fact that laptops are getting cheaper and better, and 95% now support wireless, up from 80% just last year.
