If you’ve wanted an iPod but haven’t pulled the trigger, what are you waiting for? Even Queen Elizabeth II has beaten you to the punch.

The always-fun British press reports that HRH dispatched a member of her staff to the new Apple store in London to pick up a silver 6 GB iPod Mini, which holds about 1,500 songs. And she got a royal discount. We didn’t know Apple offered a royal discount. Let’s all try it next time we hit an Apple store.

The Queen is the latest big figure to pick up an iPod. Earlier this year, the White House got a lot of mileage out of President George Bush’s playlist. Unfortunately, Buck House has not released any info on Her Majesty’s playlist.
