Users win with broadband price wars

If you don’t have broadband at home, you really can’t use cost as an excuse anymore.

USA Today looks at carriers and cable companies’ broadband price wars and the fact users are the real winners.

Fearful of losing landline customers to VoIP, many carrier are lowering their DSL costs to $15 to $30 per month and offering sweet package deals. Cable companies are fattening up their pipes by pumping up speeds; this week Comcast announced its entry-level broadband package will boast speeds of 6M bit/sec.
