We feel for 18-year-old Chip Davis of St. Joseph, Mo.
Davis and his friend, both college-bound freshmen, had a brilliant idea: Auction off their services over the summer on eBay to make some money.
Now you know these guys hoped this would turn into some cheesy ’80s movie, where a sexy model/actress/spy hires them to do work around her Malibu beach house while she suns herself in a skimpy bikini.
And if that’s what the guy were planning on, they couldn’t have been more bummed out when they discovered Davis’ mom won the auction.
Chip’s mom Mary got wind of their scheme and decided to win the auction under an assumed screen name. Burn!
“Like I’m going to let some pedophile or whatever win? I don’t think so,” she said. “I would have paid $5,000 for the safety of those two – no question.”
“After finding out the winner was from St. Joseph, I was disappointed,” Chip said. “But now I’m even more disappointed to find out it was my mom.”
