Worst new network acro

We normally don’t quote NW competitors, but we really can’t resist when they come up with a new, truly horrid acronym:

“To some degree, network anomaly detection systems (NADS) are like Rodney Dangerfield: They get no respect in a security monitoring game that has numerous variables.”

OK, nothing called “NADS” is gonna get *any* respect. Yikes. We checked in with a friend who now unfortunately works in the “NADS space” and is aghast at the new moniker and truly hopes it doesn’t catch on.

We can just hear it now:

“So, what do you do?”

“I’m in NADS.”

What could be worse than working in the NADS space? How about working in the small and medium NADS market.
