Ballmer: I am not a chair thrower

It looks as if our favorite new soap opera, the Microsoft-Google-Kai-Fu-Lee brouhaha, may be coming to an end.

Microsoft wants this all to end and has offered to drop the suit if Lee would honor his noncompete clause with Microsoft until it expires next July.

“We can settle this lawsuit tomorrow,” Microsoft general counsel Brad Smith said. “We can get back to … competing in the marketplace.”

Perhaps they can also get back to not having all this embarrassing “We’re scared of Google” information also leaked to the public.

And along those lines, Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer has declared he is not a tosser of office furniture. “I’ve never thrown a chair in my life,” he told the U.K.’s Telegraph newspaper.

Check out the story on his declaration, which includes his alleged entire anti-Eric Schmidt quote, which is way to spicy to post in a family IT blog such as this.
