iPod nano early adopters love the adorably small music player, except for the fact that its color display screen will apparently scratch if you breathe on it.
OK, maybe it’s not that bad, but The Register reports there’s a rousing forum over on Apple.com where nanites are complaining about the device’s scratch sensitivity, which negates the benefits of the color screen.
“I found that my black 4GB Nano scratched within minutes after peeling off the protective wrapper and wiping it with a cotton T-shirt. I put it in a pocket just once and it was inside the soft case that came with my third-gen iPod,” noted one poster.
All this means is Apple and others will rake in more dough as they rush out protective screen wraps and cases in the lucrative iPod peripheral market.
