Curious celebrity Tom Cruise is fighting against prescription medication, body thetans and domain name squatters.
Not only is Cruise suing the owner of TomCruise.com over rights to the domain, but the odd action man has also snapped up the rights to TomCruise.net and TomCruise.org to prevent similar infractions. Or, rather, his lawyers have. But you gotta admit the thought of Cruise sitting at a laptop and navigating GoDaddy to buy them is kinda funny. On a side note, savekatie.com has been snapped up, poorsuri.com is available.
So if you were planning to buy those and then have Cruise come jump on your couch, you’re out of luck.
Cruise is suing “the world’s biggest cybersquatter, Jeff Burgar” who’s owned TomCruise.com since 1996, reports The Register. Cruise is asking domain name arbitrator WIPO to get it back for him.
