The Bionic Woman returns? Acckk

It’s hard to believe that Hollywood can’t find new and/or better material than this: NBC today approved a pilot to rehash “The Bionic Woman.” Gaaaa. You may recall (or maybe you put it out of your head) that the 1976 series was spun off from “The Six Million Dollar Man,” and starred Lindsay Wagner as a woman whose body is mechanically enhanced to save her life. I am sure the technology in the mid-1970s wasn’t very good so she probably didn’t “perform” as well as she could have and may help explain why the show only lasted 3 years. Perhaps for 2007 they could make her innards of high-speed Ethernet and snap in a few dual-core chips and she’d zip along like a little race car. Maybe they could do an episode where she gets hacked and turned into some wireless zombie…No word on who might actually be lucky enough to land this plum role.
